Chapter 13 Home Service - Bermuda - Burma - Aden - Home Service
1882 The Head Quarters of the 2nd Battalion arrived at Jubbulpore on 20th January 1882 and returned to Portsmouth on 9th March
1883 In Leicester
1885 2nd Battalion march from Jubbulpore to Lucknow arriving on 14th March
1888 2nd Battalion march from Lucknow on the 13th November to Thayetmyo in Burma arriving on 3rd December where they subsequently engage in raids against the Chin tribes. At this time the British were establishing an administration in Burma which replaced the previous monarchy.
1889 2nd Battalion leave for Aden on the 7th November arriving on the 29th November. There is much sickness requiring recovery.
1890 2nd Battalion leave on the 12th November for England
1892 2nd Battalion move to Chatham
1894 2nd Battalion move to Aldershot
1894 2nd Battalion move to Ireland
