A grade II listed bouilding the church dates from the 1180's but waws heavily restored in 1859. Tower houses a ring of 8 bells from Taylors Foundry Loughborough.
It is one of only four churches named after St. Leodegarius. The other three are Ashby St Ledgers, Hunston, West Sussex and Wyberton.
